Current Carpark Catchphrase situation!

The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Cheggers' Pop Quiz was definitely in the "So shit it it's good" category. The odd joke did make me LOL though - I remember one about David Blaine preparing for being frozen into a block of ice by having an affair with Anne Robinson, with a particularly excited "WAYHEY!" at the end of it. That was pretty good. :D

I dunno. I always found Jo sexier, but a lot of that is probably me being a 20something guy with a taste for MILFs. Jo's voice is more annoying though.

I don't.

I am not bored of it at all and am disappointed when they don't play it. If I would change anything about it it would be that I think they should play it Monday-Thursday and play it properly. It has always been an excellent feature, but it does seem that Chris is tired of it which is a shame in my opinion.

What Travis said I pretty much agree with as it seems they are tired of it when they don't play it on certain days even though some times they have plenty of time to do it but instead just play music or whatnot. And as you know from my moaning last year, I don't like it when contestants outstay their welcome and I am getting that feeling at the moment. Not the popular opinion but I would like it if they went back to the formula they started with where they had a pair of different contestants each day because it was more enjoyable to me rather than having the same two contestants on for 2-3 weeks, which has become quite regular now in the feature.

Usually when I'm listening on iPlayer I mostly skip past it and onto the handover with Fearne.

I've not been able to listen to the show much in the last few weeks but I have caught CPC a few times. Whilst Nick has made me laugh more than the average contestant, I agree that the feature is sounding quite tired now.

CPC was excellent in it's first incarnation but I think bringing it back tarnished its legacy.

I found it funnier when one of the contestants ruined Chris' joke by saying he couldn't come back tomorrow. :D

Annoyingly, Chris then said he'd fix it so he can come back in two days....

Are they dropping Carpark Catchphrase or something? Why keep this up for so long?

I feel I must quote myself from last year.

Why does Chris keep doing the 'out of time' gag to keep the two current contestants on? Are they really that interesting?

Methinks they haven't had any other people volunteering to play...so they have to stretch it out for as long as they can!

The guy Nick has been on it since they came back 4 weeks ago and Katie-Jo has been on for the past 3. It's déjà vu since it was this time last year with Marc and Jack who were on forever. The out of time gag is played out and the main CPC game is boring now. Was much better in its first incarnation and when Chris cut the people off.

I don't listen to that part anymore really. No point really. Some days they don't even do it hence why the two contestants are on longer than usual. Chris doesn't know when to quit with drawn-out gags! Rather they went back to the old style (a different pair each day) but keep the current Roy stuff.

Oh dear....the girl on Carpark Catchphrase today got two right (one being carried over) but still Chris is insisting they 'carry on tomorrow' or Friday...or whenever Chris said.

Will this ever end?

I just don't understand why he is doing it. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind it at all. I understand the reason for keeping a couple of entertaining contestants on for two, maybe three days, but this is just stupid and makes the game pointless. Nick isnt even entertaining. He is just a run of the mill contestant.

I keep the radio on, but pretty much stop listening after the consistently excellent Roy Walker stuff at the start.

Oh goody, they did that again I see! Nick is boring and I don't see the reason behind him being on for 6 weeks (since coming back from break) at this point! Like I said, a week or two tops and afterwards it gets dull! He must be the longest running contestant ever at this point! Has he even won a game since he's been on for so long they keep switching contestants.

I tune out after the Roy Walker stuff as well! Loved the Sean Paul one last week with him trying to hit the high notes!

I asked Aled about this on that specific thread but see that was ignored despite giving me a reply! They gotta have no one else, which I think is the case since he did say something along those lines after Katie-Jo ended her stint and got Nick's boyfriend on then!
