  • 16 November 2004: MLS Download Figures

    As reported in the Mirror 3am Column, the MLS single notched up more than 7000 downloads in its one-week release - and broke a World Record in the process:

    RADIO 1 genius Chris Moyles's brainchild, Mouldy Lookin' Stain, is now
    a Guinness World Record holder - as the maker of the UK's
    biggest-selling downloaded single in a week.

    The Comic Relief track - Dogs Don't Kill People (Wabbits Do) - is a
    rip-off of Welsh band Goldie Lookin' Chain's chav anthem and has so
    far had more than 7,000 downloads.

    Meanwhile, the Guinness Book Of World Records celebrates its 50th
    anniversary next week, with a bash at the Royal Opera House. Westlife
    will also be attending to collect a special award.

  • 27 October 2004: MLS are NUMBER ONE!

    Scott Mills announced the news tonight that Mouldy Lookin' Stain are number one in this weeks Official Download Chart. Fighting off stiff competition from established acts such as Green Day and U2, the boys have made it!

    As expected, the 'Stain are also topping the individual download charts. On the right you can see the Napster.co.uk chart for the week commencing 25th October 2004.

  • 18 October 2004: 'Guns Don't Kill People, Wabbits Do' Available to Buy

    The Mouldy Lookin' Stain have released their first single which will only be available via online download and purchase.

    As part of the BBC Radio download week, MLS are hoping to top the download chart which tracks purchases from online stores such as Napster and Ministry of Sound . All profits will go to Comic Relief.
